This is the whitetail buck I found when I was 12 years old. The story is on the shed antler fourm in the what got you started shed hunting thread. The buck scores a bit over 186 on the 6 by 6 frame and the nontypicals push the score to 212 3/8 net.

I have had my hands on this deer skull. Pictures don't really give you an idea how big it is. I do have another pic and will post it when Art gives you the story. This is just one of many big deer, both whitetail and mule deer, he has in his collection.

I don't think it is a lion kill. I found the head in the spring of 79. There were very few lions in the aria back then. The bioligest tell me there was an outbreak of EHD in the fall of 78 and it is likly he died from that. The winter of 78, 79 was one of the toughest on record. There was at least four feet of snow where I found him that year so it is also likly that he winter killed or coyotes got him bogged down in the snow. Yes banbistew it I found him in Montana on public land.
