150 gr. 270 Win. Factory Load ?

What is your pick in 150 gr. 270 Win. factory offerings? If you had a close range frontal shot what load would you trust. Thanks.

Wow, Ok. I guess nobody has any faith in the heavy for caliber offerings in .270 Win. for elk. I'm just looking for as much penetration as possible on less that perfect shot angles

I'll give Winchester XP3 loads a try.

My daughter is using one this year. haha sorry... We are shooting Barnes loads. There are a couple of companies selling factory ammo with barnes bullets. I hand load but I know sportsmans has a couple of differnt offerings.

My buddy just dropped his bull with Hornady Superformance 140 gr. SST at over 450 yards, passed completely through, huge exit hole. If you see my "Wasatch Bull" post, you can see the bull I'm referencing. They carry them at Sportsmans. I hope this helps!

My father has been shooting Nosler Partitions in his .270 for 30 years, lots of fallen elk, I think that Federal Premium loads it almost the exact same as my fathers reload recipie.

I have a 270 that only likes rem corelokts, go figure.

My 270 only likes the rem. 130 core locks also, and have killed several elk.
