Alright so heres to story in a nutshell because the day he died was a very long 14 hour day on the mountain. My cousin Chase drew a Manti tag this year and has been scouting it as hard as anyone possibly could. He's been on the mountain something like 45 days. Anyways he saw this bull two days before the hunt started and decided this was the bull he wanted. He and his wife nicknamed it Wolverine because he had seen him in June and he only had his front grown which are goofy. Now to the day he died...I spotted him going over a ridge right at light. We were following his bugle (very unique) in the next canyon where Josh his brother in law was able to see him slip into some pines. Chase then took off to get closer we were 2000 yards away. Chase was able to pick him out once he got over there and made the shot from 400. I then made a big loop to get above the bull and right when I walked up on him (I thought he was dead) he swung his head around and stared at me while im filming..we had a short stare down. I then took a step towards him like an idiot and he jumped up and ran into thick cover. 2 hours later and 4 more times jumping him and 3 more bullets Chase was able to close the deal. We were able to take some incredible video which ill share when its done. Thanks to all who helped...Chase, myself (Greg), Josh, Brad, Brad, Kiley, Grandpa Vern(made it happen). Great hunt that will last a lifetime. BTW we scored him at 340.
