Will be leaving Montana shortly heading down for my sons muzzleloader hunt. We haven't been there before, so we are cautiously optimistic about the hunt. We are really looking forward to finally getting the chance to hunt those big Utah bulls! Haven't seen anything being posted about the unit...just wondering if anyone has heard how it is going on the Boulder?

Where are you hunting? I saw a lot of bulls in the Griffen Top area and Antimony Creek this summer. Good luck!

Griffin Top is one of the areas that we were planning on checking out...seems it always comes up in the equation, no matter who we have asked. What caliber of bulls were you seeing this summer? We want to go into this hunt with some realistic expectations.

Wow...with all of the excitement and activity on this board I would have hoped that someone would have heard something on this unit. Have heard for years that it is one of the premier units in the state. I guess we will find out in a few days!

Its generally a tough archery unit. A lot of people choose not to talk about or post pics of their hunt because of the crap theymight get. I've seen a lot of bills this year that were killed that will never get close to posted on the internet. By the time the Muzzy hunt starts, if you aren't hearing or seeing elk you need to move areas. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply HorseCreek. I totally understand what you are talking about...this is the first time that i have posted on a hunting forum. Have been on this site for years...really enjoy seeing the photos that you would not otherwise see. We have a game plan, just getting a little anxious I suppose!
