Poor guy got caught in the fence, he was freed from it but it was to late. He is alive in the pic but he had gone through to much stress.

bummer :( His right side had a good frame.. is that a little cheater at the base of his left antler?

yes its a small cheater and yes he did have a great right side. I've seen this buck for two years now, he was just a baby - Too bad!

Man that sucks! Ironic how I would shoot that thing and be a happy guy but hate to see it dead like that. Too bad, thanks for the pics.....I guess. :)

I know exactly what you mean by that I can kill them but I hate to see them suffer. I was reading the other post from people wondering what to do in these types of situations, it's sad to say but I didn't do anything-I wouldn't have dared put the buck down "no good deed goes unpunished" My dad called the local Warden, who is a good guy, he gave the meat to a family nearby. From a management prospective I would not want the buck breeding, because of his weak left side that was present last year and again this year. Still no matter what the buck looked like I never like to see this kind of thing happen.

MAN that sucks, That thing would of been a monster in a couple of years. Hopefully his passed on his genetics.

Man I hate that stuff. I have to kill one nearly
every year and it breaks my heart. I hate to see
a deer messed up by a fence, but it happens every day.
The fact that you care about this say's a lot about you.

Yeah its tough to see something like this. He may have been pencil horned but his body looks thick, week antlers on a big body buck bred to some stouter doe could still produce some healthy fawns , hope he bred a bunch...
