We got back last night from 6 days hard hunting in some unit in southern Utah. My dad killed this bull Saturday Morning. I will write up the story for my HAC thread, but it was an awesome week.
My Brother's wife also killed her first animal on the trip, with an open sight smokepole to boot.
Here is a vid of the shot and walk up on the bull. I had my beanie pulled up over my ears to help hear while calling, I promise I usually don't look like an elf....
This is my dad's first elk..he missed one in the same spot 20 minutes prior...so it was his second shot at an elk....
