Elk hunting accident on the Dutton

Anyone have any information on a hunting accident on the Dutton? I heard that a hunter accidentally stabbed himself while working on an elk and ended up dying.

I talked to a friend of mine last night who told me about this. He works with the accident victim's brother and confirmed the rumors. My friend isn't a hunter and didn't have a whole lot of detail. He just said that his work mate's brother was skinning an elk somewhere near Panguitch and stabbed himself in the chest, penetrating his heart in the process. What's worse is he indicated the victim's son was present while this took place.

That really sucks to have an accident like that happen when you are out doing the things you love to do together....
His son will never look at hunting the same again...
Our prayers are with the family..

Man that is terrible news, I hope evrything will be OK with his family. My thoughts are with them.

Its true but they was not hunting elk they had muzz deer tags. I work with him one hell of a guy still in shock god took a good one. There is not one guy that would say anything bad about this guy. His son was on leave from the air force to hunt with him. Its been hard for all of us that worked with him.

Our Thoughts and Prayer's are with them. God speed and Let all of us use extra caution in all that we do.

Im really sorry and sad to hear this. My prayers go out to the family. Please everyone slow down and be safe out there.
