I keep thinking about that huge bodied buck that Todd posted a while back. How big was your biggested bodied buck? Lets hear some stories and see some pics. Thanks.

Here are a couple of photos of my biggest, I didn't ever get a weight on him, but would guess he was more than 250 field dressed. For reference I am 6'3" and weight 250ish. (plus or minus 10 pounds :)) The photo of my father-in-law and bro-in-law loading him on the wheeler really shows just how big he was. The antlers were not huge, he scored about 150 with decent mass, but the body on him and amount of fat was amazing. Shot him in central Idaho in 2005. The buck I shot there this year wasn't tiny, but didn't even come close to the body size on this one.

By the way, we had dragged him all the way to the road which was only 5 yards in front of the wheeler.

That really is a beast. On those big ones, it seems like the inside of their thighs almost rub together when they walk.

Here's a big bodied, big headed buck I shot in Winthrop, WA. a couple years ago. I was stopped at the local game check as I left and they were taking samples for diseases and actually aged this deer at 2 and half. He said he'd never seen anything like him before and especially in that area.

At the butchers he weighed in at 212 lbs! Throw the head, hide, guts back in him and you do the math.

I'm not a real big guy, 6' 200 lbs. but look at the head on this buck. Would have loved to have shot him 2-3 yrs. later. :)

Awesome bodied bucks. Those are all toads!

Have you all seen a picture of Steve Herndon's buck? His is the largest antlered buck ever taken in Colorado.( or was at that time). Scores 306 2/8. Non-typical. There is a picture of it hanging next to an elk in a book I have. "Colorado's Biggest Bucks and Bulls". First edition. Page 162. I don't think it was ever weighed. I wish I had the capability to post the picture here. HUGE body!

I love those big bucks!

Awesome guys! I love seeing those big chunky bucks. The head on that WA buck is unreal. I would love to see Steve Herndons CO buck, anybody have a pic? Thanks for posting.

Here's the biggest deer I ever shot. Shot him on a late hunt in central Idaho 2006. Not a very big rack, but a pretty big body. Any estimates on how big he was? I never got him weighed, but would be interested in knowing approximately how big he was.

Ol'timers around here esteem body size above any other mule deer characteristic. Most of the folk lore & story's concerning big bucks ended with how big of an animal the deer was, not silly stuff like antlers.

My elk hunting partners buck from Washington's Slide Ridge unit this year. He had to butcher it to get it out so we don't know the weight but the picture speaks for itself.
