Just curious if anyone has ever hunted elk behind the Farmington Radar towers and what has been your experience??

By behind I assume you mean the east side? Most of the East side is now a CWMU, so make yourself aware of the boundaries.

The radar towers are FAA Air Defense towers. One of the "golf balls" is a communications tower, one is the actual radar.

I know the boundaries quite well for the CWMU jacobs creek unit. The reason I ask is because I found something over there during the general season buck hunt that pissed me off. I've turned it over to the F&G. It is on the public land side of the CWMU. I'll post pictures later.

Ask Jeeves!! LMAO - you still use that? Does it even exist anymore? Good one. I'm in the Philippines this week for work and can't get out and hunt, so don't get me started... I am pissed as it is.

Most people have no clue what in the world those "towers" are up there. I think they are best seen after climbing the backside chutes in the winter on a sled
