I was hoping someone could tell me a bit about nevada unit 231 and 241-245. I have actually applied for them the last 3 years, but must admit I don't know much about the hunt besides the gene pool is there. I'm going to stick with it regardless, but was wondering what the hunt is really like. Do you see many deer? What is typically killed during the hunt? Thanks for the info. Good luck this year!

231 has alot of deer some monsters on that unit but very tough to find.. I would say on average a hunter may kill a 120 to 130 buck.. don't know about 241-245 just my opinion also depends on what season your talking about.

Actually, (231) this is one of the better units in the state for big deer. Hard hunting because of the PJ's, but success rates are pretty good. It takes a resident 4-5 years to draw, I don't know about a non-res. Genetics are here! But, again, allot of people shoot the little ones. I applied for a few years but decided I wanted to hunt more often. Nice elk here also. Bets of luck on your draws.
