I know what he scores so I'll keep my mouth shut. Hard to believe how fast pictures hit the internet, Greg just got back in the country yesterday.

As for the original question, I think that there are a couple factors to look at. First, the cream of the crop got pounded last year due to the conditions. A lot of deer that would have made it through a normal year got axed. That combined with the conditions this year make for difficult hunting. There is water, food and cover everywhere. The deer dont need to move far, they have everything they need. This year reminds me a lot of what it was like 2 years ago, it was very difficult on some of my ranches but we followed it up with a banner year this past season.

There have been some great bucks killed this year, I know of 2 typicals that gross in the mid 2-teens and a few other deer that are just slugs. Definately not the best year though

Now guys, don't jump on me too bad. That is an awesome buck but by B&C scoring methods he will not score well with those short mainbeams. Using the muleycrazy measure everything and add it all together method it may touch 200 but it won't touch the minimum of 180 net for B&C. I know, I know, nets are for fish.

My Cousin just got back on Tuesday from Mexico. He shot a nice deer that will go about 180, but said the same that was already posted. It was a dang hard hunt this year and the big deer are hard to come by. He basically settled for his deer on the last day after looking for one that would around 200. His deer will come in about 180.

I have never had one do it. They give it to the cowboys and their families. These families have become somewhat dependant on the meat they receive.
