I was down there already Bess, that place is awesome, I know you'd like it cause 4 wheelers tires can't take all the cacti. The landowners down there have gotten continually greedy to the point that IMO mule deer hunts are way overpriced.
Coues, predator & piggy hunts are the way to go.
Instead of saving for 5 years & go like you said, I've decided to save for 10 years & buy my own ranch. I think the place will be pretty much shot up by then so you should be able to get a place for a reasonable amount & then take care of it right. I've spoken with about 10 friends who hunted Muleys this year that combined dropped around $90 grand with marginal success, that much cash would buy one hell of a hacienda & hunts forever.
