NV 221 general info

Not looking for someones hotspot, just some info regarding where to start looking for muleys for the muzzeloader season in Nevadas unit 221/223.
Should have enough points to pull. Any info appreciated. Dave.

I hunted this unit with a general season, not muzzy and had good luck right in the middle of the unit. I went into Cave valley from the town of Lund on the west side. I hunted from about 5 miles north of Lund to about 5 miles south. I saw bucks on both sides of Cave valley but killed my buck in the middle on one of the small little knobs that stick up from the valley floor. Nice buck, 7x4, real heavy and 27 inches wide. This was 12 years ago. My uncle was drawn 10 years ago and killed a 30 inch 5x5 in the same area but on the eastern side of Cave Valley. I would start at the top and just work my way south down the valley glassing both side's. It is large country at the north end but narrows down as you get to the southern end of the unit. Good luck

I shot this buck on Ward mountain durring archery. There are some switch backs in the road on the back side of the hill that over look a valley full of springs. Saw alot of derr that were bigger then this one but after all its archery and I couldnt pass this one up.

Nv-hunter, I remember that buck from earlier this year. Nice buck for sure. Did ya see many elk on that side?
