Is that a Rocky mountain elk? I thought Washington had Roosevelts?

I don't think there is any other quality
so essential to success of any kind as the
quality of perseverance. It overcomes
almost everything, even nature.

I saw a bull very similiar to this bull while scouting a SE WA unit for my limited entry bull permit in 2009. I think this bull is longer on some tines, given 2 years could be the same bull maybe?

This is the 2011 Washington Auction Tag bull...capably guided and assisted by the Mossback team. Great bull...congrats to the hunter!!

This is the WA auction tag bull...another great assist from the Mossback team. Congrants to the hunter...I know he spent many days hunbting and looking for a bull like this.

I would love to know the total cost of that bull.I don't consider sending out an army to look for your bull hunting. I also had guys tell me that they were offered a bounty if they found a specific bull.I think if is flat out ridiculous what our sport has turned into.

Why should you care what it cost that guy? Just because he spent more for the tag than you can afford, doesn't make it wrong. Washington game management benefitted, and if he wanted to hire one of the best guides around to take him hunting, good for him. Why should you care about it?

Your name says it all. Our sport is being ruined by guys putting bounties on animals and such.

Excellent bull!!!!!!!!!!!

Hunter looks as pleased as any I've ever seen. Good for him..

Not to hijack thread but, I believe our moneys goes into the general fund.. I might be wrong. But This state is screwed up.. I don't trust where our(hunter/fisherman is going.. Maybe time for the sportsman in washington to sue the state..

I would to educated as to where the money raised for this tag went..

I heard Rimrock bull by the way.. But I very well could be wrong..

I had this bull at 2 yards while on horse back. I remembered the bounty and roped him. I left him hobbled to the burned tree until I was able to collect my bounty. If you look close at the first picture you can see the ligature mark on his front hoof from my rope!

I tell you what that bull in exchange for 10 pounds of M&M's is a winner in my book any day!

Looks like there could be a Red Stag hiding in the wood pile.

"I hate being bi-polar.....Its awesome"

Awesome bull! Love the crown points!

I'm happy that these auction type tags exist and people with more money than me like to hunt and kill trophy animals. Every dollar they spend helps out the common man. Good for him & for Mossback.

great bull and congrats to the hunter and those involved.

i heard there was a bounty on a giant bull in xxx unit in xxx state. turns out the payment was a biggie sized number 6 from wendy's. fifteen guys helped him kill it and now it's a crock b/c i had to sit in line at wendy's for 30 min why all those dudes went and cashed in. it sucked. i don't know what our sport is coming to, LOL!!

Roosevelt elk live on the west side of WA.....This elk was taken in SE WA... alot crap with mossback and were run out of the county earlier in the year. Not welcome around there from what the locals ahve said
