How many MM members have max AZ deer points?

Seeing the other two recent threads about AZ max deer points caused me to wonder just how many MM members are sitting on max deer points in Arizona. Seems like a lot.

To have max points, you need the 8 bonus points, 1 loyalty point, and 1 Hunter Ed point, for a total of 10.

Not that it makes any difference, but I was just wondering how many people have been stupid/crazy/dedicated to the notion of getting to hunt deer in AZ. Count me as one of those stupid/crazy/dedicated non-residents.

If you have max points, please post, as I would like to see if the majority of the NRs with max points hang out here.

No need for all the other commentary provided on the other posts, just looking for numbers.

I have max bonus points for deer (10).....but as a bowhunter, I also get to bowhunt deer every year in Arizona without losing points.

My dad, brother, and brother-in-law have max points. I burned mine in 05 for 12b late. I shot a 197 inch 7x8 so I don't feel bad about not still being in the game.

I have 10 points. My luck I will draw 13A or B tag and not get a chance at even a semi-decent buck, but it will be a good adventure.

I am also another max points dreamer! I was applying for 12b, but met a guy in hunter safety who drew 13b in 05 and killed a 235" monster you may have seen it in nov/dec muley crazy. Anyway he told me he would give me all the info I need so its 13b for me now.

Guess I had better get my hunter ed point next year so I can be in the club just missing the ed point.Even with max it will take some luck or add on another 10 years and maybe we will draw some year for a strip tag.Who Knows?

Another one here, took the hunter-ed class 9 years ago.
12pts for elk, antelope. Drew my desert sheep in 05 so have started on the rocky tag. Good luck to all!! Had a friend draw 13b with max. pts. this year, definately not the year to have that tag!!! Many crab clawed deer either fronts or backs or just 4x3. Hunted with very reputable outfitter and still came home empty looking for a great deer not just a good deer.

I had max points going into last years draw, pulled a 13B tag, took a 203" 6X6, it was worth the wait. Hey Cabuck, just curious who did you friend hunt with?

Two of us in this family have Max points. I think I will put in for 12E late since I found out about that 298" non typical out of Saddle Mtn Wilderness!

Myself and 2 friends I hunt with have max points for deer and 13 points for elk.

WHAT 298" non-typical out of Saddle Mtn.? This is the first I've heard of that.

There was a 37" non-typical that scored, I believe, in the 260s that came off the west side that AZGFD showed me a picture of while at the check station, but that was the only giant buck we heard of taken on the late hunts from either side.

I have 18 antelope points (max), does that count? Got lucky with a deer tag a few years back and had an elk tag last year.

By my count, we are up to 19 NRs for deer as of the last post. That is getting close to 10% of the entire NR max point pool. Cool.

The odds are very good that several of us will be hunting northern Arizona this year.

Make that 23. I've got 10 for deer non-res. I drew 13B in 96 and didn't see a big enough buck to shoot in 20 days of hunting and scouting. But I will be back someday with better luck I hope!

My hunting buddy said to tell you he and his dad have max points
but his dad is upper 70's and afraid age will get him before AZ comes through.

That gets us to 25, which from what I have been told by those in the know, is more than 10% of the NRs with max deer points.

So now for the big question - Which one of us will be the lucky one or two that get a late 12, 13A/B tag this year?

It will be interesting to look back at this thread in July when the deer results come out.
