CO Options

I have the chanche to hunt CO (Eastrn) this year, I was wondering if you guys had to pick a season what would you choose my options are MZ(Early Oct), Early Rifle(Late Oct) or Late Rifle (Early Dec). Any input would be appreciated. Thanks,Jon

If you are hunting the eastern plains, the later season would probably be my choice.

Thanks Jon, I'm leaning towards the late hunt because it starts on 11/30 this year and maybe the rut will still have the big boys moving.

My personal rating:

1) Muzzleloading timberline bucks (prob where I will be come Sept)

2) Late rifle (4th season even better, but 3rd ok)

3) Mid October (guns already popping and no rut to get the big boys moving)

I wonder if this is the year to hunt Eastern Co or Kansas. Lots of snow & not sure how the herds are doing.

I agree about the snow,but I booked this hunt in 05 and had to reschudle it to 07,now its a use it or lose it situation and the outfitters is suppling LO tag. I cant ask him to reschedule again as he as jumped through hoops to try and work a hunt for me in 05 & 06. In 05 it was work problems , in 06 I was bucked from a horse on a elk hunt and ended up with broken ribs so late season archery was out last year
