Killed him about mid September 3rd day of the hunt. My older brother Shad and I had been sittin' on a ridge for a good two hours not seein' much. we decided to go down a little from the previous ridge to glass the other side and I what do ya know I see some cows comin' outta the cedars about 2000 yards away so we got the spottin' scope on the cows and sure enough a monster bull came walkin' out right behind em'. My bro and I are thinkin' holy hell lets get our asses down there HE'S HUGE!! We hiked a good half mile down to get close to him. We knew we had plenty of time so we were careful about spookin him. We got down on a side hill he was hangin' out with about 9 other cows about 375 yards away from us. First time we heard an elk bugle the whole hunt!! It was a mean awesome soundin bugle. I was shakin' like crazy my brother was tryin' to calm me down and kept sayin' you got all the time in the world as i got him in my scope and BAM i shot as he was tellin' me to take my time haha. After my first shot he and the cows stayed put i wasn't sure if I hit him or not. So i unloaded another and the cows scattered and down he went. I think i missed the second shot and i'm positive i hit him the first shot. Unbelievable hunt! loved every bit of it hope you enjoy this story and pictures as much as i do!

Awesome bull! love the mass and the symmetry! had the late tag in 2010 hunted all that same country! I saw where they were rutting in that stuff and it looked like a freaking war zone! Again congratulations on a dandy bull!

That is a great bull anywhere. From what I've heard about the oak creek for elk that is an AWESOME Bull.
