This is what my thought process would be if I came over a ridge and saw that

HOLY S#*! BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG, Reload BANG BANG BANG (just three shots cause thats all I reloaded) and at this point I'm single shotin it (load a shell and shoot) BANG....BANG.....BANG.....BANG.....BANG buck down (hopefully)

Seriously though there is no need to figure out what he would score, he is a shooter..He has it all IMO.....width, tines, cheaters, mass, highth.....AWSOME (and hopefully I wont need 13 shots to put him down)

Quick score is shoot him, quick, before he steps away. Nothing to think about, he's a bigger buck than 99.9% of hunters will ever SEE in the field, let alone shoot.

By the way, next time you debate which caliber is best, remember bucks like this standing at angles like these.

This buck in another reason to consider calibers like the .338. You can drop him in his tracks right where he's standing with a good 225 grain bullet.

I agree Bucksnort - a shot like that would probably lose a lot of meat, the real reason why we as humans have endeavored to pursue big game since the dawn of time. However - times have changed. NOW - this is a MONEY BUCK! Meaning that the story, photos, etc. will net you more money than the worth of the meat. With the money you can potentially earn by selling the story and pics or video if you have it (and have the right licences to film on public land, i.e. pay the insurance and all that stuff), you can go buy three or four times the amount of beef, which tastes better! Besides, he is an older buck and will probably not be as good and tender as that two-point you take every year anyway. At least you can tell yourself that as you drill him right square in the butt and PUT HIM DOWN! Bottom line - JUST SHOOT THAT SOB NOW!
