Ok I am not certain if this will get nuked but I am just trying to find out somestuff. Is 1500 plus lisc and tag too much to ask for a Guranteed tag and drop camp. Basically these tags take between 6 and 8 years to draw. I am just wondering this because I am thinking about doing a bunch of drop camps next year. The tags are for the entire hunt unit and there are a couple of deer killed out ofthe units that are 200plus. average buck would be a solid 170 plus. So my MM berthern is 1500 too much to ask for a tag of this type.

The question of financial reasonableness is rooted in each person's finances. For some people $10,000 isn't too much to spend on a chair. That being said, if you are convinced that the quality is a matter of relative fact and not a come on and your other hunt variables (few hunters, access, time etc) are equally in line, sure... why not.

Is the 1500 for the tag and the drop camp or just the drop camp. If its both I think that is pretty reasonable. Send me a pm with more info I may be interested.

No Brian my plan is to do the camp for 1500 and the tags and lisc fees extra is what I am planning. It would cost someone about a grand just to apply to draw the tag. So I am doing a tad bit of economics in the process. There are a couple of other added benefits in this deal but I am not going to make them public. One is that if a person has say 5 Points they do not loose there points and get to gain another and go hunting as well. Pretty good deal if you ask me from the way I am looking at it.

HD....1500 JUST FOR THE DROP CAMP IS A TAD HIGH DEPENDING ON EQUIPMENT SUPPLIED, QUALITY OF AREA, DURATION OF HUNT ECT. I'M PAYING 1000 BUCKS THIS YEAR FOR A 7 DAY HUNT (DROP), FULLY FURNISHED CAMP, FOR BOTH ELK & DEER. BUT 1500 IS STILL IN THE BALLPARK. IF IT GETS YOU AWAY 98 PERCENT OF OTHER HUNTERS THATS EVEN BETTER.------YD.

HEY JIM, THAT IS A 1000 BUCKS A HEAD FOR THE COMPLETE CAMP, DOES NOT INCLUDE FOOD.---YD.

I think it sounds very reasonable, the LO or outfitter tag alone is more than that most places for an Oregon quality type hunt ( so-so to crappy ). I'd be interested myself but Oregon residents aren't able to buy these tags are they?
