LAST EDITED ON Mar-14-12 AT 04:30PM (MST)[p]Thanks for reading in advance from me and the family. 11 months ago Steve Pollock from Tropic Utah was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. March 8th Steve passed away peacefully at his home with his family and friends by his side. In the last year between hospital bills and treatments the family has been put under alot of stress between bills and now a funeral. I am trying to round up some donations for this great family and if anybody would be interested in contributing please let me know. I am also selling some of my pictures and anything made from those pictures i will be donating to the family also

i dont think so i had never ssen him on here i know he would look around every now and then. i wish i had some other pictures of all the deer he has killed. he has killed alot more big deer then most people i know i wish i knew his honey holes.

FYI:
In 2005 my dad had a Paunsaugunt tag. So we are in the Tropic Reservoir area camped in July scouting and here comes a guy into camp. It was Steve. He had a flat and needed a tire iron. I went down the road and helped him with his tire. Made a good friend and we traded some stories. In 2006 my friends dad drew the Paunsaugunt Rifle elk tag. I ran into Steve again. Well Steve and his son Kaden (who was the Garfield elk calling champion at the time) found out we were chasing Wapiti and they showed up in camp nearly every day to help us take a bull with an older man who had just suffered a major stroke 2 years earlier.
Steve killed the famous Widtsoe Ghost with his muzzleloader back when the season was the late rut muzzle hunt. It was over 220 inches I believe. I dropped by Steves house one day unanounced and he took time to visit and show me the ghost.
He was a great man, loving father and took time out of a busy schedule to help out when he could.
In 2007 I ran into Steve on the Dutton, it seemed he was everywhere chasing some kind of animal. lol. I joked with him that he was following me, or was I following him..... lol...
His family are genuine and hardworking. It's a rough loss for those who knew and loved him.
We will miss you Steve.......
RIP.
 
Ya steve did kill the ghost and many many more big deer i wish i knew some of his spots, he loved that muzzloader too. and like stated previously he would take the time out of his own sched. to help anybody and i mean anybody out. i dont know how many stories i have heard this week from complete strangers saying how steve ran into them on the mountain and they were struggling and then he would say well get your stuff lets go and he would take them somewhere and they would come out with whatever they were hunting.

Hey guys i just wanted to tell everybody thanks again. i recieved. few checks that will help pay off some gas and presript. bills and a nice little care package for the family while they are outdoors. The person that sent the care package could you please pm me i wanted to talk to uou a little more about the brand of binos you sent again everything will go to a great cause and be put to use. i have teamed up i guess you could say with sfw at ther banquet tonight at rubys inn at bryce canyon and they have set up a fundraiser as well for the family. thanks again guys what a great bunch that has helped out i hope i have the opp. to repay you all some day.

Thanks everybody last night at the sfw we raised 5000 and another 700 from monstermuley members. i was also told that somebody donated 3000 to the funeral home for steves funeral cost. so thanks again to everybody
