What will he score?
(I was unable to get an answer so I won't be able to reveal the true score)

230 - 240. He is a bonafide STUD! WOW! Where is this?

Enough to pull the trigger!

:( Somebody didn't like bouncing betty :(

It must be in Canada becasue they only grow them that big and dark up there.
Big enough to forget to shoot until he walks away, then spend the rest of the day looking for him.

The coloring SCREAMS repro to me. But it's still a great buck and a pretty good mount. The mass, the trash, the big fat stickery bases would all tell me NOT to hold out for a bigger one. I would quick guess him at around 240".

Thanks for posting. I love seeing pictures.

This buck is displayed at Pro Shooters in Amarillo, Tx. One of the guys there said a local doctor had shot it in Wyoming. That's all I know.

A buddy of mine Shane found the sheds West of Roosevelt UT back in 02 I think. They scored around 255 with 33 scoreable points. They were on the ground a couple years. He and his taxi buddy made replicas and they were for sale for $1500 with shoulder mount at the SLC ISE in 03 or 04.

$1500 for a shoulder mount of replica sheds!! No wonder there's such a competition for shed hunters! I don't care how bigh or cool lookin' that buck is, that's crazy.

Here's the info for you guys just so you can relax.

It is a REPLICA, and it is sold in Research Mannikins, page 27.
The item number is: Pro MD4
The description reads: Utah monster, 10x13 37" outside, 34 inside. Gross 235" nontypical.

The list price is: $310 unstained.

We have mounted quite a few of these in our taxidermy shop, and they are a really good looking set of plastice antlers for the money.

Just for your info, we charge $550 for a shoulder mount, $650 for wall pedestal, $200 for 22" november cape, and $425 for the replicas after shipping and coloring.

yeah I have seen that buck before. I went in there one day and started questioning him about it. He told me he shot it utah in 86', I asked him where at, he said he couldnt remember so I asked him what it scored, how wide it was, ect. He dint know. When we left I told my buddy they were repros and he was full of It. I told him I wasnt going in there again. You guys made my day by finding this out. Good way to run a bussiness. Telling B.S. storys to customers. Good luck selling me a gun. How many people out there have encountered this before? If they are repros and you tell me I would be okay with it. But dont lie about it!!! A3d send me a P.M I live in Amarillo too.
