I'm headed south San Juan early rifle

LAST EDITED ON May-23-12 AT 11:48AM (MST)[p]Good to hear John

It looks like your as unlucky at the elk as i am with the deer. I thought Id draw the archer deer this year with a 50% chance but it looks like ill have to hunt next year. Hope it works out for you. I might be down this year looking at some deer and if I see some elk ill give you a heads up if you point me in the right direction for some deer.

I know two people that have the archery elk tags down there this year. Maybe if they are unsuccessful they might help you out on a good bull. You might have to help them out though with some scouting.

congrats again on the elk tag of a life time!

Thanks for all the good feed back everyone.
This is truly a once in a lifetime hunt. I will appreciate any help that I can get and always will help out anyone who is in need. I helped three hunters on the Vernon last year to fill 3 tags of 165 184 and 197.

Good luck to all especially Scott it was great to see you on antelope island this year. I didn't find any horns but saw some dandys that got picked up. And got a little exercise to boot.

There will be some sleepless nights ahead.
I will forward any info on to you deer hunters that were lucky enough to draw a tag.

Wow
You have a great season ahead of you, JUST don't get hung up in the it has to have the BIGGEST horns, hunt the hunt and kill the one that makes ya happy. Your hunt should be pretty awesome this year. Pray for rain up there the mountains need it.
