Whatever is closest to your house. Any otc tag requires a ton of scouting, unlike limited entry.
Any tag is a good one

+1 I would say buy a tag and hunt in the Desolation unit but that probably doesn't help you since you're probably not in my state, hard to know for sure though since you didn't specify a state.

Hunt close to where you live and be ready to work hard and you should have a decent chance of success.

Archery or Rifle? Makes a difference, I won't bother with OTC rifle elk hunts but there are a lot of OTC archery tags.

i purchased a utah limited entry archery elk tag for North Cache. I now have conflicting hunts it is transferable. I paid $2000 you then have to purchase the tag from the state. i am willing to sale it for what i paid.
