There is one tonight in Green River. This is your last chance to express your opinions in person to the non-listeners(G&F).I'm hoping for standing-room only.I doubt if we can affect any change for the coming season, but we can definitely give them an earful!Maybe even get some kind of dialog started. There is strength in numbers!Cancel bowling night,TV,dinner with the wife for ONE NIGHT.If you are satisfied with the mule deer situation in western Wyoming, more power to you!If not,GO TO A MEETING AND SEE IF WE CAN GET SOME MANAGEMENT STRATEGY CHANGED!It's one night!2-3 hours!Otherwise, stay with the vast legions of hunters that do NOTHING but sit in camp and complain about the crappy hunting, and how great it USED to be.

Hate to say this, but I think the state would listen more to the Utah residence than they will with the local guys! Fight like he$$, you guys are in the thick of it. Keep it up. You are all those deer have. . . MDF - oh, where's MDF in all of this? What's the local MDF chapter doing, anything?

last time I was hunting in the hoback all I saw on the road were white licence plates with a little skier on them. . . I'm from Montana so I'm not exactly a local. . . Just an observation.

I would like an update, I personnally would like to see G&H come back more towards what it was like in the glory days of the late 80's and 90's. Living in WA I obviously won't be at the meeting though.

TFinalshot,If you are in G or H this year, expect to see 200 less of those plates in both units. That's right guys,200 less non-res tags in each unit.Remember,I'm just the messenger-don't sling any bullets my way!Bob,I thought the meeting went well.I was surprised they are actually going to reduce 101 tags by 40%;from 125 down to 75.In my opinion,1 year too late. But,as usual, they are a re-active department rather than pro-active.Always have been.I had heard they were going to raise 102 tags again.Thank God they didn't.They did explain themselves very well whether or not you agreed with them.I didn't bring up the predator issue;already know how they feel on that one.Doesn't make much sense that they would extend the seasons in G by 2 days while reducing non-res tags, though. They say that herd is struggling,so they take it out on the non-res,but extend the season by 2 days so more bucks can get whacked.Go figure.

The season in most of Region G and some of Region H (Hoback Basin) is going to be cut by a week....

Looks more and more like they want to wait until Muley bucks are an endanged species in those units until they do something about it. When they finally limit residents it will have been 10 years too late. They don't have the guts to do something politically tough.

I agree that WY needs to limit the resident hunters in more areas as one of the tools to help the quality of the hunting. If they follow Utah's and some of the other state's example alot less nonresidents will be hunting in WY as well as local guys. I have nothing against nonresidents, (we all are nonresidents somewhere). You guys just need to remember too many of all classes of hunters are in some units. Wyoming is one of the most liberal state's when it comes to giving nonresidents hunting opportunities. You only have to look at the fact that 25% of sheep tags are allocated to nonresidents and compare that to anywhere else. I sure would like to see Utah and other states change over to WY's nonresident allocation methods.
