CO Draw--What'd you do?

Well, the deadline is past us... What'd everyone do? Season, res/NR? How many went with Hunt'n Fool's top picks?

I put in for archery Deer & Desert Bighorn and just went with PP for Elk, Pronghorn, Mt. Goat, and Moose.

PP only for deer and elk. Time is somewhat restricted this season for me.

Non-resident. I went PP for elk. Will have 15 for 2008. I applied for 61 deer 3rd season with 8 points. Hopefully, I will draw the tag.

Unit 67 02R deer as NR w/4 PP's.

I honestly didn't buy the Huntin' Fools recommendation for Unit 54 as a top pick. Even before the CDOW Gunnison meeting, I knew the tags were increasing - 310 in 2005 to 450 in 2006. Add the fact that there are unlimited elk tags for 2nd and 3rd seasons and you have "combat hunting" written all over it.

While Garth states 66 is a bit better than 67. I like the terrain (at least according to DeLorme maps) in 67 better. More public land below 9,000 feet where the transition from black timber to sage/PJ/oak brush is. Never been there, so we'll see.

I'm guessing Garth & Jason help "facilitate" a lot of Land Owner vouchers in 54. That's just the way things seem to work in the real world.

O PP so went with 62 2nd season,(will get a point but won't draw without a miracle), then went with 60, and then unit 35 as third choice, all second season hunts
Elk
2PP, took another point, will hunt archery OTC again
