I'm sure by now most of you have probably heard about the HUGE 300+ inch shed antlers that were picked up last weekend. For those that are drooling and loosing sleep over these sheds (like me) I think I might have a cure! I talked to Landon and Trever last night and they are going to bring the set to the AntlerFest this year! I'm told that the set officially gross scored 307 and change and netted 301 and change! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I'm glad to see the set go to a couple of guys that have been hiking their guts out and have been dreaming about this day for a long time. What an amazing find! To top it off Landon found yet another HUGE brown set yesterday that gross scores around 219 and is said to be 40+ inches wide!!! Great job Landon and Trevor! Good luck with the rest of the shed season!

This year's AntlerFest will be at Cabela's in Lehi UT again on Saturday, June 9th. As usual it's all free and we'll have tons of prizes so mark it down on your calendar now and don't miss it!

I can't wait to see what HUGE antlers people bring this year! It's going to be great!!!

I think we need to be careful about calling it a world record. It has to be officially recognized by the governing organization before you can claim it to be a world record. There have been several instances in the recent past where someone has claimed a world record, but later it turned out to be a scam or the official score didn't quite make it. There was a law suit were the person making the false claim was sued for lost revenue by the legitimate world record holder. Ryan Hatch has been claiming to own the world record sheds from the "little big buck" at 293", but they're not listed on the NASHC website. Be careful Ryan. The official score will not be determined by a single measurer, but a panel of official measurers, then Landon will need to submit all of the paper work and photos to the NASHC and then wait for their acceptance.

I've seen these new sheds, and they are amazing with a big frame and long palmated multiple cheaters, stickers, and drop points. Landon's set is most likely from the spring of 2006. Ryan Hatch has a set from 2004. So I guess no one has found the 2005 set, or the 2007 set from this buck yet. If word gets out about where he lives, the area will be powdered by boot tracks and that buck will be dead this fall.

Wow cant wait to see them, and cant wait for Antler Fest. Last years was awesome, and Im sure this years will be as well.

Sounds like some awesome bucks made it through the season this year! Were the second set (40" plus) not sheds? Or is that just a guestimate on the width.

There's only a few people who know where this buck lives, and I hope they keep it to themselves.

Oh Yah, I saw these sheds layed out with a 46" outside spread, and they looked perfect. When we stretched it to 48" outside, it still looked O.K.
 
I just got off the phone with an antler dealer friend of mine. He said that a couple years ago, someone showed up at the Sneekee Expo in St. George with a set of sheds that scored somewhere between 316 and 318 gross. He said that the owner bought those sheds for $1500 5-6 years ago. I could call that the buy of the century. I guess those would be the world record if the owner would enter them.

He also mentioned that he personally knows of another private collector that has a single side that scores 157". Wow, all these monsters, and we don't get to see them. I like it better when people share.

That's fine, you guys can think what you want. I know you probably have your little monster muley friends who will stick up for each other no matter what, thats just great. I just hope yuo guys can see when someone is trying to get credit where credit is not due. You can say what u want about me I could care less, I'm not trying to make a name or gain anthing from this, I'm just trying to open some eyes. Sorry if you take offense,

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend. I guess I'm as much of a shed nut as anyone else. I was just trying to answer the questions that are already out in the public. I wasn't trying to give anything away. Like you said, I don't know anything about these sheds, so I'll quit talking about them.

Dude, this is a DISCUSSION forum. Not a stay quiet and we will release little bits of information to you forum. The whole purpose is to post info and ideas. Nobody who knows about these sheds will say jack, so what's wrong with anyone speculating? That's what people do bro. I think it's getting a little intense over a couple pieces of bone. I will be happy to see them at antlerfest, but until then who cares. Not I. Can't wait until the Utah draw results come out and we can get to talkin hunting.

Let me say that I do NOT know where in N. AZ the sheds came from, but I highly doubt that Mr. Hatchs sheds came off the same buck of the 300" sheds.
By the way, has anybody seen all the chute planes flying north of the ditch lately? The boys told me that while shed hunting that it was a dead giveaway where the 300"ers were found.
 
I'm going to quiet down about these sheds out of respect for the people involved in the finding. I have been asked not to post pictures, so I haven't. Now I've been asked not to talk about things I know nothing about, so I won't.

You guys made a lot of people jealous by finding those antlers and I'm sure there are plenty of people that would love to blab about this or that. Anything they can do to try and taint things for you. Don't let that crap bother ya. People will talk and they'll say things you don't want them to. Just ignore it all and enjoy the fact that you are a couple of lucky sum b's!!! :)

I agree this is a forum and people need to discuss what they feel. But its almost getting to the point that everyone is hating on everyone (not very many people are saying sweet or great pictures or good post, seems that most people are quick to jump and accuse and find fault at anything they possibly can).

But if people are giving out false info and don't know exactly or have a general idea they should stop giving out them roomers?? Or state they have a general idea or don't know the facts 100%.

Question is to everyone if you found them horns would you care if people started rumors or would you want the whold world to know about the location of where you found them???

If you make statements like this, make sure what you are talking about is in fact true. Please re-read Muley Crazy issue June/July 2003 page 39 thru 44. In fact Ryan found one side and Tim Parrish found the other. Please review Muley Crazy video "Nuts about Bucks, Volume V". This will tell you more of the story of Little Big Buck. Also stop by Ryan's shop sometime and you will find what you state "Ryan Hatch has been claiming". If you are a hard core shed nut and you have entered anything into the NASHC records you will find that the website is only going to show some records and not all. Example-Does B&C post all the records on their site? No. If they did nobody would buy a copy of the awards book. Feel free to give Mark Miller (NASHC Pres.) a call and he should be able to get you on the right track about their website and why it is not updated. Keep in mind they are a volunteer orginazation. If you are a hardcore shed hunter then you should have a copy of NASHC mewsletter Vol. 3 No. 3 Fall 2004, this again will tell you the correct story of Little Big Buck and in fact the cover states "NEW WORLD RECORD" in big bold letters. Congrats goes to the guys who found yet another big set of sheds. If they are what everyone says, they will be the New World Record unless someone pulls something else out from the past. Shed season isn't over yet.(dleonard3, please go do some homework.)

I feel sorry for the person that found them. I'm sure they were just out walking the dog and stumbled on them not knowing how big they were. I bet they just want to be left alone and not harrassed anymore.
 
ok thats it!! I was fine not getting to see them when you guys first revealed the story about seeing these monsters at the Sneekee Expo. The talk got me really excited and it was brought up they would not be viewed until Antlerfest. I was okay with this. There wasnt any more post about it until now. Outta site outta mind. Please,please,please let us see em!! :)

Seriously, when was the last time you have seen sheds that big? Never!!!!! So be patient, soon enough, everyone will get to see and all will be good in the world again.........Until then, find some other horn porn to scratch the itch.....

Would it be a bad thing if I emailed a few individuals a very short and bad quality video of these sheds? I promised Landon that I wouldn't post pictures on the internet, but he didn't really say anything about showing a few friends. I think he's just trying to preserve the marketability of these sheds for magazines and websites.

What do you think Landon? Can I show a few friends?
 
I can't speak for Landon or Trever but I can tell you one thing for sure. They are not making any money off saving the antlers for this year's AntlerFest and the AntlerFest is definitely not going to charge anyone anything to come and see them either. The AntlerFest is FREE just like it has been every year. I really appreciate the fact that these guys are saving the sheds for the AntlerFest and trying to help us draw more people out to the party. Nobody even asked them to do it, they just decided on their own that it would be a good idea. Thanks guys!

Tons of HUGE antlers, FREE admission and tons of FREE prizes and you're only a few yards from the front door of the HUGE bucks and bulls in Cabela's. What more could a guy ask for? Only one month and it'll be here (Saturday, June 9th).

Load up a truck full of your buddies and come check it out!
