LE elk disability extension?

Does anyone have experience with the LE elk hunt disability extension in Utah? We have all of the paperwork for him and getting it approved should be no issue, I was just wondering what they usually do for the extra time... Before the hunt? after? varies? This is for a muzzleloader hunt. It would just be nice to know what to expect earlier rather than later as he can't officially apply until he gets the tag in the mail. Thanks!

My father in law had the wasatch rifle last year with the COR for an extended season. The rule was changed last year I believe. His extended time was available during the general elk hunt. He killed before that time though.

I am a disabled hunter who drew a late central mtns manti tag this year. i have been in contact with lindy - [email protected] - at the dwr about the extension. she says the general season extension dates have been set but the LE elk tags wont be set for a few weeks and that i would be notified when they are set.

most of the LE hunts get 30 extra days but depending on which hunt it may be before or after. which unit did he draw?

i just received an email from the DWR saying that i get 10 extension days after on my late elk hunt, sounds like they are now going on a hunt by hunt basis with geologist determining the extension. I'm a little disappointed that i dont get 30 days but at the same time nowhere else even comes close to what Utah does for disabled hunters, so im stoked. let me know what extension your friend gets.
