I shoot both. Expandables are fine for deer sized game. They don't plane too badly in windy conditions and fly great at long distances (at least the Tekans do). I shot a 153 inch whitetail this year w/ a Magnus 4 blade and it broke in half! I hit nothing but ribs. I'm assuming it was a defect. Bottom line is broadheads are getting better and better every year and both expandables and fixed blades have a place in the hunting world.
