Guys, I have a very good condition Sitka Lightweight Jacket in Mothwing that has been worn very little, it is several years old but I've never hunted in it. I've worn it less the 2 dozen times over the years. It has the zippered on or off hood as you can see it in the photo. It is a Medium 40" chest size. No tears, rips, loose thread. You can see in the photo the zippers still have the pull cord still intact & it does have the zipper near armpits, they can be seen in photo as well. It also has inside pockets when jacket is unzipped! All zippers are in excellent shape! This is a very good jacket!

100.00 shipped!!!

I know that Sitka is a good brand. What kind of temperatures would that particular one be good for without a lot of clothes on underneath it?

I would say that if you had on a long sleeve under armour & a long sleeve cotton shirt & the jacket you would be good from 40deg to near zero degrees. This is an estimate as to how I would consider wearing it. The jacket weighs 24oz on my postal scale. This jacket is over 200.00 these days.

I apologize for being PC challenged & putting this in the wrong forum! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Let me think about it for a day or two and I'll get back to you if nobody takes it off your hands before then. The zipper on my good coat that I've had quite a few years crapped out during turkey season and this one may just be what I need. Thanks!

I own this exact jacket in XL and I love it. I wear it with just a sitka crew neck long sleve shirt and t-shirt underneath and it is good for anything I encounter during Archery season. I got 6 inches of snow on me one morning and it was fine. If you are a bowhunter this is a great jacket. Sleeves are tight and you don't need an arm guard when you wear it. It has a snug fit in the front also so it can't catch the string. I would take that model over the new 90% jackets that they have out as it is thicker and is better in a little colder weather. The front pockets are a little awkward as they are higher but you won't have anything falling out of them if you leave them open. It has the call pocket on the left sleeve to hold your diaphram calls when they aren't in your mouth.
It also breathes well for those mornings that are just borderline jacket hunting weather.

If you can't tell I love my jacket, someone is going to get a great jacket for a good price.

I'd sure like that jacket, but I just measured my chest bare naked and it's 39". I'm starting to gain some weight the last few years as I'm getting into my mid 60s and that sucks. I think I will have to pass because I have a feeling that size is too small and I'll prbably need to go up some. Thanks!

Topgun, I hear ya on the age thing, I'm creeping towards 60 myself. I just measured my chest & it's 42" -- The Jacket fits me very well, no issues with too tight at all. It's a body fit type jacket so it's not baggy or restrictive if a bowhunter. I could easily have 3 layers of long sleeve shirts on & the Jacket would still be comfortable to wear. Just food for thought! I could do that very thing if you'd like & take a photo of me wearing it if you're interested?

If that's the case, I'll take it! I just didn't want to buy something, even at a great price, and not be able to get into it confortably. I'll send you a PM with my name and address and if you will do the same I'll know who and where to send a check off by Monday. Thanks!!!

Is it your wife's jacket?

Or rather a womans jacket being that small?

I tossed this link over to my Mrs. and she wanted me to ask Men's or Woman's size?

Thanks Paul,

Robb

Robb---You now have me wondering about the overall size when I read you post and then went back and looked at the picture again. Paul says it will fit me as far as the chest size, but looking closer at the picture now it seems like the coat is very short in length and arm length. This is why I don't buy clothes or footwear unless I can try it on, so now I don't know what to do after saying I'd take it!

Where did Womans Jacket even come from? (grin) I never mentioned anything about that? Of course it's a Men's Medium! Here's a photo of me wearing it so you can see it is not short, it's a perfectly normal Sitka Jacket in very good condition! I have 3 long sleeve shirts on underneath it too so you can see it's not too tight or small!
