Elk and Fire?

Ok....with my elk area having been torched, and having struck out on all of my Utah tags, I was wondering if the elk would be likely to return to that area by the november spike muzzy hunt? Anybody have experience with hunting elk in an area that burned that same year?

I would keep the tag! if we get some rain, the grass will be growing and the animals will move in with a vengeance.....

1031 is right i have a buddy that is having that prob with the book cliffs fire elk are alraedy back inn the area and acting like it aint happened so ya but pray for rain

We had the Wallow Fire last year in AZ, +/-600,000 acres, in July, and there were elk all over in the burn. Not just the edges, not the unburned spots... There were elk everywhere, even where it looked like a nuke had dropped.
