Velvet AZ Bulls July 7&9th

Some great genes in that group! Would be something if a few made it to year 7 or 8 ...

Is this a local phenomenon or are you seeing good antler development in several units? I don't have a tag this year, but I know a lot of guys are worried about the drought. A friend of mine from Show Low said things were real wet up there this year due to heavy wet snow and less evaporation than is common with colder snow and low humidity during the thaw. I was in 23N, 4A & B and was surprised at the amount of standing water and the good green up.

Im seing plenty of good anteler growth everywhere in the state. We,ve had much dryer years than this. It's not too bad and although there are some dry areas, just a little ways away there is always a green patch of some kind. Like a marshy area, lake or stream, golf course, farm field... you name it and the elk will find it. most of the elk aren't so stupid that they won't find the best feed available and camp out on it all summer.
