TRAIL CAMS?

Just looking for some info on the best bang for the buck when it comes to good trail cams...please let me know opinions. Are Primos truth cam 35's any good?

I've been buying Tasco (bushnell) for $80 online. I figure they'll disappear sooner or later so I go cheap. Pics have been fine and batteries were still good from last July.

I've got both the Primos 35 and the 60. I love mine. Easy to use, and take great pictures. I think trail cams are like Dodge, Ford, and Chev, everyone likes a little something different. Good luck

After going thru a bunch of reviews I just ordered a Primos 35 off of Crackbay. Hope to get it in the next couple days. I have a few homebrews that I don't want stolen. I'll use the 35 on public land.

I guess it all depends on what you prefer. As long as I get a picture that I can tell what it is in front of the camera, then I am happy. If you want super high quality images, then you will spend a lot more. When it comes to other people stealing your cameras on the public lands, I tend to look for cheaper avenues. There was a pretty sweet deal yesterday on some Bushnell 5 MP cameras. I've used these ones and have been happy with the pictures. Here is a link if you are looking for a cheaper yet good camera. This site has had some great deals on other cameras too, you just have to check it everyday to see what the deep discount is on for that day. Just my two cents.

Don't often see many posts comparing plot modes. Could any of you shed some light on that topic? Manual time set for on/off or light senstive? If auto on/off, do they turn on/off at first/last light while dark enough to catch earliest movement?
Do the IRs fire for any "night" video in plot modes?
Are plot cameras better for this then trail cams?

In wide open west, how far away will deer movement show up i.e. can I watch a trail across a canyon (not looking to count points but would like to count deer and distinguish bucks from does).

What are you guys using in the field to view your SD cards.

I have been using a little Nikon Coolpix to read the Bushnell, but it will not recognize the Primos 35 pictures.
