Does anyone know if there is a place on the Colorado DOW website that shows how many tags were given per unit per season?

Chris,

Check under statistics. I think it's under Draw Summaries or Harvest Sumaries. Don't know if I have the headings exactly right but you'll figure it out. What did you draw this year??

I can find the numbers for last year on the statistics page. I thought I had seen a place on there before where the current year's quotas are shown.

I am trying to find out if the tags were drastically cut in the area I put as my 2nd choice. For the past couple of years this has been an undersubscribed unit and a 2nd choice would have been a gimmee. I didn't draw anything because I was counting on the gimmee.

Look on the stats page and scroll down to archived statitcs then click on drawing summaries. I just had a look at it. The most recent year I found was 2002.

Droptine... I am in the exact same boat. I talked to one of the DOW guys and he said they had 20,000 more apps this year for some reason. Plus my thinking is that with the harsh winter on the eastern plains more guys put in for some of the western side. Hoping to pull one out of the leftover draw now. Good luck to you if your putting in for that also.

Go to the CDOW web and click on the wildlife commission then click on the May 3 Grand Junction meeting and you will see the 2007 quotas that were set.

Well, apparently there was a 27% reduction in the number of tags for my gimmee unit. I guess I know why I didn't draw.

It sure would have been nice to know about tag reductions ahead of time. I have been burned by this 2 times in the last 3 years.
