NV hits???

My card was charged this afternoon for for 10$ (PIW) Not sure what PIW charge it was for though. That sucks!
 
If you put in for more than 1 piw and they only hit you once
(unless there's more piw hits to come) then thats a good thing.
That means you got a tag on the other app or app's right?
So don't be discouraged yet!
 
I hope so NVdrhntr. The last few years I've noticed they took the piw charges off on 3 seperate days so we will see. I actually just checked my account again and have another 10$ (PIW)charge:( Oh well. I guess that's why they call it the luck of the draw. Good luck everybody!
 
My son and I just got hit the $10 fee for the non-resident PIW fee. Looks like no deer for us this year.

PIW: FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO GLADLY MARKED THE PIW BOX AND DONATED YOUR $10. NDOW THANKS YOU!....PERSONALLY I THINK ITS THE BOX OF DOOM. HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE YOU KNOWN TO DRAW AFTER MARKING THE BOX AND DONATING $10......JUST A THOUGHT.
 
Well, since there are 22 resident deer PIW tags, 3 desert sheep, one California sheep, I don't even know how many elk, goat and nonresident PIW tags I know at least that many every year have drawn after they got the PIW hit. I know more than one person who has drawn a PIW tag and you can't draw one unless you are in the drawing and you can't get in the drawing without paying the 10 bucks. Yes, NDOW thanks you for playing but it isn't a big conspiracy.
 
I don't know what was ever decided but... there was talk on the table that they were going to draw the PIW before the regular drawing this year. In years past only the unsuccessful applicants were actually entered into the PIW drawing, so I am not sure how that is giong to effect charges. I wouldn't get to sad if you get the piw charge.....yet anyway.
 
Ok, so I checked yes on 5 piw draws for me and my kids. This morning I got hit for 40 dollars. Does that mean we drew 1 piw
tag or does it mean we drew a regular tag and thus were excluded from the piw draw on that app. I think it could mean either.
either way, i'm going hunting!!

I got the 10 dollar kiss of death charge. Last year i sent for piw tag and got drawn for deer but the 10 dollar charge did not show up until after my non res charge for my deer tag.

Should mean you drew a regular tag so you didn't go into the PIW draw.

It could be either good or bad. But I'm holding on to "good". I never give up until I see it in writing. Ya gotta believe.
 
If I remember in years past PIW charges come a day or two before charges for the regular drawing. I don't think any charges have hit cards yet for the regular drawing.
So there's still hope for sure.
anybody had a hit for big money yet? elk, sheep etc?
 
No charges for my wife or myself yet. No P.I.W. charges either. Plan on waiting for the results on the web. Forget this c.c. stuff
 
O.K. guys. A bit of guarded optimism here. I only applied for 2 PIW's. One for the wife's desert bighorn, and one for my Cali bighorn. According to the credit card rep I talked to, there was only one $10 charge. Could it be that one of us drew a sheep tag? One can only hope! Best of luck to all that applied.
 
The past three years for me the PIW's come put first then the regular draw charges come out. Keep your fingers crossed dwalton.
 
Fingers crossed!? I'm actually sweating bullets!!! I've already drawn a Wyoming sheep tag, and a Colorado 61 3rd season deer. I started a new job a month ago and have exactly 32 hours of vacation time left after the Wyo sheep hunt. You know the saying..."When it rains, it pours." I would rather see my wife get the permit than myself.
 
Looks like a charge just came through for a nonresident deer tag, $240. YAHOOO!!!!
 
Clarification please from someone who knows.
I know this will all be moot in a week, but it's fun to anticipate.
If you get hit for the $10 piw charge that means you did not draw in the regular drawing for that app and are being charged the $10 application fee to be put in the piw draw. So, you could still draw a piw tag after being hit with the $10 right?
It doesn't mean you were unsuccessful on piw does it?

You have been entered in the PIW drawing and yes, you could in fact draw it and see a $30 charge for a deer tag if you were one lucky SOB and drew a PIW tag. Keep your hopes up. As someone else said there was talk of doing the PIW drawing first so everyone had a chance at the PIW tags but I don't know where that ended up. I think it's on the table for next year with a lot of other proposals. Not sure.

Oh, and I'm still not seeing any charges. I know we couldn't have drawn all four of the tags we applied for the PIW hunt on (all sheep). The card I used will be difficult to tell what happened until the payment is actually made. So I am blissfully enjoying my ignorance.
 
Just got charged for 30$(deer) and 60$(antelope). Two tags in one year. I don't know what to do with myself:) Good luck everyone the hits are still coming!
 
Does anyone know if when you apply with a party of two when it comes time to get the CC hits does it hit as 60 or two hits for 30? I have a hit for 60 on my CC and im trying decide if it deer or antelope.
 
im pretty sure thats a lope tag. in the past i know the hits were separate. though one of my buddies had a total of $300 hits today so who knows?

Well if I had my choice, I'd take the Rocky tag. Although a California would be nice because its so close to home. Odds are its an Elk tag. I'm pretty excited, hope I can get some sleep the next few days.
 
could be either....i put in as a party with my brother and he had 2 60.00 hits...so one has to be a lope and the other is our deer tags....either way -YOUR GOIN HUNTING!
 
NVhunter, I am wondering the same thing. Got charged today for $60. I put in for antelope and as a party for deer with my Dad. I'm just thankful to draw something, but would like to know. Guess I'll have to wait until the results are posted.
 
mlycrzy, the past few years they email you your results a day or two before they post so that being said, you will probably know about wednesday

Woohoo I finally got a $30.00 charge. Hoping for my first choice 114-115 muzzy.

Not to be greedy but do I still have hope for a sheep or elk tag or would they have charged them all at the same time?
 
Viking, I had a tag charged a couple years ago the day before the results were posted, so until you get that dreaded unsuccesful notice there is still a chance. That late muzzy tag in my opinion is one of the best deer tags in the state. My Dad and I were hit for deer tags today and that was our 1st choice too. Good luck!

i was also hit about 6:00 pm yesterday for nr lope , all units north of elko is where i applyed. anyone ever hunt the areas?

first choice was 252. I'll hope for that for sure. But if any of my choices come up i'll be happy.

That south summit scares me. lol
 
252 is an awesome hunt I had a tag two years ago. The sheep are doing really well right now in that area should be a good year again. I can't wait until I can go back in there.
 
Just checked the credit card. A $30 deer tag for my wife and a $120 charge. My bet it is an elk tag for my wife since I received the other $10 PIW charge also. Then again....it may be a Mtn goat or a Rocky tag! Looks like a busy fall. Best of luck to all those with tags!
 
FINALLY today I got confirmation that besides the 4 $10 PIW charges I have a $30 charge! Only took 9 years to draw another resident deer tag...........all you non-residents stop your whining. One tag in my pocket this year, hoping for one or two more as a non-resident. Good luck all.

My credit card credit line has reduced by exactly $1,200. Nothing posted yet on the card but the charge usually shows up a few days later. Matches the non-resident tag fee for elk, sheep, or goat! Keeping my fingers crossed until the results are official. Good luck to everyone.....

I am there NVdrhtr. My friends dad killed a ram on the south summit in 2002, it scored 162 2/8's. The picture is in the last record book. Carl have you had any hits yet?
 
well-no hits as of yesterday.My brother told me to check my available balance instead of transactions on my credit card.Checked last night and I have $270 less available credit which equals our 3 party deer tags,my antelope on the first year putting in,and woohoo,my ely bull elk tag after 10 years of putting in.I put rifle,archery,then muzzy.Can't wait to find out.I am soooooo excited.
 
I'll give it till tuesday...then pull my hook out and go home! ha
