Check out Double C guides and outfitters, or Flying J guides.

Which tag did he draw, Any Weapon, archery, or ML?

A friend of mine hunted with double C last year and had a good experience. They most likely have a client already, but it doesn't hurt to check.

Your friend does sound lucky, it took me 14 points to draw that tag.

I am not familiar with any of the other outfitters but have hunted mountain goats with Jon and Neil Crump of Double C Guides and Outfitters and highly recommend them. Honest and hard working outfitter with good horses. I was planning to draw a NR archery tag in the roadless area this year but didn't draw the 1 NR bonus tag as anticipated. Had Jon and Neil lined up to guide me for the hunt.

Good luck to your buddy on the hunt!

flying j outfitters has ben out there fo 25 years will do you good job all the way around.

My brother drew an any weapon tag last year and used Flying J. What a great experience. You can't go wrong with Flying J. I've also heard good things about Double C.

Joshua,

First off congratulations to your buddy. He is in for an incredible hunt. The roadless area is a very special place and when it comes to elk, there is no where else I would rather hunt. This is Jon with Double C and I really appreciate all of the positive recommendations we have received already. I am confident that we could give him a great hunt and whether your buddy chooses to hunt with us or not, I would enjoy speaking with him. Tell him to call anytime.

Call me for photos and details as to why. I really want to hear just what your looking for and what type of hunting you've done, what your expectations are, and what gear you have... camping wise, etc.

I drew and tag and I'm a guide for FJO. Just so happens, Ive got good reasons to do the best for me and anyone else.

Elk hunting my style is a team sport. I want to talk with you when you get a minute.

Midnight...that bull in the first picture you posted is hands down the most awesome I've ever seen! Can't believe I haven't seen pics of that bull on here before, but thanks for posting (again if this aint the first). 4ths are incredible and that back end is just frickin awesome, on top of being super unique. That's a damn cool bull right there...! Hope he's on your wall at home? Any pics of him mounted (on the wall that is)?

I can honestly say garry is the best elk caller around. Never seen a guy blow a bugle at bulls on hard hunted public land at 50 - 100 yards and not have them leave the county. He has an archery tag this year out in the bookcliffs so he will have you on bulls hes already been hunting for himself. Those bulls will be the best of the best thats out there.
