Pre-rut water tanks?

Headed to NM soon for first hunt opening Sept.1 and looking at sitting a tank that we have had early season success off before on dry years but this year the unit has gotten RAIN..will bulls still hit the tank in search of cows and other bulls as the pre rut heats up? I am hoping with the rain they still check it out and maybe wallow close, haven't found wallows in the past but have always gotten into bulls on the tank..thanks

Elk are a creature of habit. Sit the tank, you'll see em, even on wet years.
