Oregon results are posted guys

Nothing for me I guess that makes 6 points for deer and 11 points for elk and antelope. They must have just put them up right before you got them because I had tryed less than an hour ago.

Darn! Blanks across the board!
Well at least I have a mulie and elk tag for Colorado. Come on Cali and Idaho!

Yeah Hah!!
Drew a #160 Minam unit buck rifle tag and to top it off I drew a antelope tag for S. Wagontire!!! It will be a fun year.

Nothing here either. Along these same lines ,,,,, I'd sure like to see Oregon pony up and treat NR a little more fairly with the nonresident quotas... 3%, and 5% is pretty stingy. Most western states give NR at least 10% quotas. Maybe Nevada should limit OR residents to the top 3% of our NR draw?? Yes, I know I don't have to apply there so you don't need to remind me of that, but fair is fair isn't it :)

I am with nvmuley. I now have 10 points for antelope and deer. Projecting forward, I may never have enough points to get one of the top antelope tags. OR is hosing nonresidents with respect to the big game quotas in my opinion.

wadsworth,
You are one up on me, only 9 points here :)

Zero for everything in Oregon. Now have 11 pts. for all but sheep. Its been a bad week, o for Nevada, o for Oregon and the wife o for Nevada as well. Thought that she would draw an antelope tag with 11 points but it did not happen. Maybe next week will be a little kinder to us.

NVMuley, I try to be a positive person and think I'm sucessful in that area most of the time so I try to avoid negativity but you are RIGHT!!! One of my hunting pet peeves is Oregon's in your a$$ attitude towards Non-residents. Again, I still apply and thats on me. thought about dropping out of each draw as I use my points but after buying the license, it would be stupid to not apply for every species. And can't quit now cause between the boy and I we have 46 points for the various species.

And NO! Nevada has the best system in my opinion.

Son and I 0 for 9 again this year. Now he has 6 points for antlerless deer, wow. Applied both my duaghter and son for the same youth hunt every year they were eligible and they never drew. Both had max points their last year.

I like Oregon less and less.

I wish I could say you're wrong but Oregon hoses the NR hunter no doubt about it, if it makes you feel any better other than sheep there's only a hand full of tags that amount to much.

Harry have you ever hunted here before? unless you have private land lined up you're going to need a plan if seeing anything other than hunters matters to you, if I can help you let me know.

Thank you for the offer there Dude!

I have family there and they do a lot of looking.
We have taken a number of way better than average bucks from there over the years.
Yes, lots of hunter, lots of roads, but if you know where to look, sometimes you find a little surprise!

Of all the bad timing!!! The one year i don't want to draw because of money and what do you know??? BUCK TAG!

Guess i'll just sell my soul to pay for it. It's a good problem to have though.

well I drew my normal eastern oregon deer and elk tags no more no less. life is good I will be hunting elk in oregon and idaho and same with deer.

No sheep tag for me and my son, though we continue to build points for all the other species.

Congratulations to all of you that drew!

BKHunter, I sent you a PM regarding your Applegate tag.

You guys need to switch to archery, then you can buy tags over the counter for most units in Oregon! There's plenty of great units with lots of public land that hold good numbers of deer and elk...

thats about 30 min from my place, it's steep for one and the deer pop is down, there are some monsters in there though, I'll see if a friend of mine can give me some specifics...

I'm not going to disagree with you guys at all. Those of you that are non-residents and say that you have been applying for 10+ years for an antelope tag and haven't been drawn yet, well guess what, it takes residents that long to get a rifle lope tag. So you can't really expect to be drawing tags in the same amount of time that residents do. I know the 5% thing isn't very fair but it's not like Oregon residents have all that much opportunity...

An Oregon resident would be lucky to get a sheep tag in his/her lifetime. An antelope tag will take 9+ years to draw right now. A premium elk hunt will take a minimum of 9 years and thats for archery. One of the elk tags you might as well forget it, there are so many people in line for that tag that the majority will never draw it.

Just don't blame us when our opportunity isn't that great either. We just don't have that much to give

Well was a pretty good year for me, Dad and Nephew. Nephew drew the number 1 Youth Elk Tag in the State with 0 points and at 12 years old his first time in the Draw. We were messing around in this unit and know the unit really well we should take a 300+ Cascade Roosevelt on this hunt.

Dad Drew an Eastern Oregon Buck Deer Tag and me I am guiding as usual more points for me. That give me as a resident 10 Antelope Points, 8 Elk Points, and 3 Deer Points.

Dad has 10 Elk Points, 10 Antelope Points, and No Deer Points. So NR Guys give me a break about not drawing tags. I have not got to deer hunt in a decent unit for 4 years elk hunt for 9 and chase antelope for 11 years of applying. It is tough in Oregon for all to Draw a tag.

Finally drew the Trout Creek Mountains deer hunt after 10 years of applying, can't wait to get down their and scout a little in September. Didn't draw my Imnaha bull tag, but did get my second choice fall back cow tag close to home in the Maupin/West Biggs unit. No sheep, antelope, goat, or doe this year, but who cares I get to hunt the Trout Creeks and couldn't be happier. Good luck to all this fall. Jeff

I was an Oregon resident for 32 years, and last year drew a premium deer tag as a non resident and just found out that I drew it again with no points, what a miracle! As a resident I never drew back to back tags.

well there must have been a mistake, it was suposed to go to me, a resident LOL

Manny15,

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated. As for steep, I live in Pinedale, WY and hunt the WInd River range. Steep is OK by me. The only thing I hate about Oregon is the darn poison oak. I can look at it and start scratching!
