Calf survival when the cow is killed

Do any of you have data or good studies on calf survival when the cow is killed early in the archery season? I was wondering when reviewing trail cam pics that show suckling calves, as late as Aug 16th.

Thanks,

Calves are normally weaned by the time they're two months old. Figuring that most are born in late May to the first half of June, they should be okay by the middle of August unless their mother was bred late. They really grow fast though and could probably make it most of the time barring an early bad storm or something.

I believe that most calves are just fine, but I still try to shoot a dry cow, but that can be hard to figure out when a big herd comes in.
