So, I've got the whole week off work next week (9/10-9/14) and am going to try to get it done on the general archery Elk hunt. Heading up to Monte Cristo area if anyone is doing the same alone. All my buddies are hunting elsewhere or think "other things" are more important in life right now.....
So....this is a shout out to MM land for a partner if anyone is interested. I'm a 31 yr old fatty who thinks he can hike around the hills like he did when he was 18.... :) (Stinkin desk job)
Anyway, my M.O. is out all day with my pack and bow, usually get back to camp after dark....
Shoot me a PM. Maybe we can work something out if you're in the area and are doing the same. (My wife would feel better about it too...)
Thanks all!!

What state and unit is that? I'm heading out Saturday morning on my own to Wyoming. I'll be out for up to ten days. I'm a hard hunter and in good shape. Let me know ASAP

Thanks

Hey bowhunter 223

don't know if you will see this post or not. I replied to your original post back in September. I bowhunted alone in Wyoming last year. My hunting buddy from Ohio has bagged western Elk hunting and my wife doesn't like it when I go alone, which I have done for five years now. I live in St. George and am looking for a partner to hunt with. I'm going to apply for an LE permit this year but with only five points don't stand much of a chance. If you see this post and are interested send me a PM or reply on this thread.

Thanks

LOL at the lonely hearts club. I'm going solo this year as well. My partner has lost his mojo and I'm gearing up for a solo backpacking bowhunt during the rut. My wife is thrilled with the idea of me, grizzlies, and wolves hanging out.
