Happy Hunting

We used to hunt this zone for big bucks with a bow. Always saw plenty of big ones between berry crk and cleve creek, at the very top above the timber. Access from the top of berry crk.

I have hunted those units alot over the years, true Berry Creek and above is good area but will have a few others to share the hill with. The east side of the range has less pressure and not quite as easy acess. I have that same tag/unit this year but the late season. You should see plenty of deer, the big guys arent as plentiful as they once were. I plan to spend a few days in several spots. There is less pressure the farther north you go in those units. good luck if i can be of more help let me know, are you a non-resident?

Just one note on this area, if you have atv's and plan on using them you might want to get with the Forest Service and find out the status on the wilderness that was just passed last year, they haven't put the signs up yet but most of the forest service area on the Schell Creek range was put into wilderness, and if the rangers catch you on roads that have been closed or if you are off-roading they will write you up. Not as many good bucks as what can be portrayed by the amount of tags given out, but my advice would be to get up high and away from the roads.
