Colorado Public Land Bull, 2011

I'm new to the forum, and new to elk hunting. I went on my first elk hunt in October 2011 in the White River National Forest, just outside of Meeker, Colorado. After 6 hard days of hunting, I sealed the deal on this handsome 5x5 at 3:30 in the afternoon when he and another 5 point crossed my path. After quartering and a short pack trip to the truck, we were headed down to the processor by 6:30 that evening. He sure tastes great!
