As I was going through my second archery elk hunt this year I was curious about what others experiences have been in relation to time of day of their harvest as well as method of approach. Looking to learn as much from more experienced hunters. While I understand conditions may dictate a lot of these answers, still think it could be helpful.

When did you harvest? (Early morning (first 30 minutes of hunting light), Morning, Afternoon, Evening or Late Evening (last 30 minutes of hunt light)
What method did you use? (Spot and stalk, Bugle, Cow call, Ambush, Tree Stand, Silently go into their bedroom, Other)
What type of terrain did you harvest in?
What region did you harvest in?

Thanks all for your time!

Just looking to learn as much as possible. If there are some aspects of the questions people don't want to answer then that's fine (if they want to anwser at all) Don't mean to be nosy, just a) curious and b) want to learn.

Great questions, you got to be out there to get them and mind the wind!

When did you harvest? always in the morning... I have never shot an elk after 11 am.
What method did you use? Always spot & stalk, (archery & muzzleloader) shot (2, archery season) in their beds.
What type of terrain? Dark timber and above tree-line, 9000ft for the lowest to 12900ft for highest.
What region? Mountainous-Southwest, Southern CO and NM.
