Camping for the Pahvant Late Hunt

My wife was lucky enough to draw one of the late season tags this year. Her hunt starts Nov 10th, and runs through the 18th. I had this same tag two years ago and harvested a nice bull, so I am not super concerned with finding the elk. When I had the tag in 2010, we camped in a wall tent up Kanosh Canyon, but there was quite a bit of snow on the ground. Not sure an RV could make it back up in there.

My wife loves to camp and hunt, so sleeping in a wall tent for her is no problem. However we have an 8 month old little boy, who will be staying with family for most of the hunt, but it is possible that for a day or two he will be coming down and sleeping over. For this reason we are planning to take my Dad's RV down and park it somewhere. Once the RV is set up my other kids, 8, 7, and 3 will also be able to come down and spend a day or two at camp. I am not looking for judgement or opinions on whether or not I should be taking my kids on a late season hunt. Like I said family will be helping most of the hunt.

I have noticed that there is an RV park in Fillmore and another in Holden. What I am asking is does anyone have any suggestions for places I could camp with an RV for this hunt. I understand that a lot depends on the weather and snow, I am just looking for suggestions.

A few years ago my brother in law had the same hunt. We pull my trailer up behind the Aledaide camp ground. You can also stay in the camp ground. There are pottys in the camp ground as well as one to the east that we used camping outside of the camp ground. There where a couple of brothers that drew tags camping in a wall tent just off to the side of us.

Dan,

Why dont you man up, get some chains for that bad boy RV and get up the mountain.

Just kidding. I wish I knew of a place for you. I hope you guys have fun and kill a big 1. Good luck.
