I heard the AZ Strip was on fire?? Anyone confirm this??

There are two fires in this area. One has burned about 8,200+ acres and is 30 miles south of St. George and the other has burned 6,000+ acres and is 20 miles southwest of Fredonia.

it has burned most of the upper portion of blackrock east and west sides. yesterday afternoon it came back down the hill to the east and decided to toast wolfhole mnt. big fire! i watched the flames from my backyard last nite.

Reported at over 13,000 ac. last night on the news and still going strong. I can see the smoke out my window here at work as we speak.

Could end up being a pretty good fire.

Ditto on that. Hunted the strip in 02,03,04 with friends. Fire will do a lot of good in the thick crap with little feed. Not a whole lotta deer around wolfhole as I remember. Fire is natures way, to produce big bucks! Kiabab the last few years???? World record sheds????? I like a little fire!!!!
