Ok, I tried this in the "General Huting" forum, but maybe it belongs here. Anyway, after trying to breed this cow, this bull turns on her. Gouginging with his antlers, and finally killing her with blows from his front hooves to her head. I've never heard of this before. Have any of you? Paul

I guess it might be possible, but I have a hard time seeing a cow just take the abuse. I would think it would take off and get away from the bull?

I don't think it happens often but I think it does happen...

A few years ago on my moms bookcliffs elk hunt, the bull we were after did gore the chit out of one of his cows. Another hunter didn't see the goring take place but saw the bloody cow after my mom shot the bull. He called dnr and the officer had the attitude she was guilty. We recovered the bull, he searched high and low for the cow but never found her. We told him the bull was at least 50 yards from the cows when she shot. She shot about 5 minutes after the goring took place waiting for him to clear his cows. Im not sure why he did, and its the only time I've seen it...

"hmmmmm.....I bet he was tricked by a she-he. Can't say I'd blame him."

The Bull was taken on a later hunt. His name is Dan Bulladuci.. Terry

On a cow hunt a couple years ago we saw a bull gouge a cow right in the butt so hard it picked the cow's entire back end off the the ground about 3 feet.

Not sure about the scenario you mentioned, but it seems that bulls try to get cows pushed around pretty good and they will use their horns to do so.
