I'm new to the Pocatello area and was wondering if anyone knew which direction to point me to find good deer.

Welcome to MM and Pocatello. If you are new to the state you have to wait 6 months to buy licenses and tags at resident price. There are many places to hunt deer within 2 hours of Pocatello but the deer hunting in SE Idaho isn't half as good as it was in the past.
