Like a few others on this site, we are getting ready for the late season elk hunt. As some of you know my wife was one of the lucky ones this year. She has her first elk tag in hand and we are ready for a great hunt. I was wondering if any locals or anyone that has been down that way deer hunting has seen any areas that the bulls are currently using.

I had this tag a few years ago and was lucky enough to harvest a respectable bull. My wife is getting quite nervous. She is excited to hunt and I am confident we will find her a bull. She is a hiking machine and willing to sit and glass for as long as it takes. But as mentioned we have four little ones at home, one of which is just 9 months old. So she is hoping that the hunt does not take the whole nine days. (she is concerned for the kids, but also those helping us watch them)

I have been down in years past, as well as this summer and most recently a few times this week. I am seeing a few bulls, but not the number from years past. I am thinking this is due to the fact that there is not as much snow as the years I have been down there. I understand my wife is not the only tag holder there are another 20-30 people that will be hunting and many of those people have friends that use this site I am sure. For this reason I am not asking someone to tell me where a particular bull is hanging out, just curious what has been seen.

Just spent the morning south of Kanosh and could only turn up two groups of cows and spikes. Did see two small bulls a little farther south. But quite discouraged. Any info from anyone that has been down there the last few weeks?Where are all the elk? I have been out three days this week and am just not finding them.
