The dreaded parting shot (pic)

LAST EDITED ON Aug-14-07 AT 09:56PM (MST)[p]I have been trying to get good photos of this buck for the last two years. I got great photos of him in 2005 but have not been able to get any good shots of him since. with his double stickers he is one of the widest deer I have seen alive. I have his sheds from 2005 and using the photos as reference I measured his outside spread at 36". One of these days I will get him to pose nicely. Tonight I was about 50 yards away and was sure I was going to get good shots when I got sloppy and spooked a whitetail doe I hadn't seen. She ran right at them and they busted out and I was only able to get a few parting shots.

yea, those are a couple of keepers for sure. Love to see a few of the head on shots of that wide one. Hoofs and I blew a couple stocks this weekend too, but it was darn fun nonetheless. . .
