There were a ton of those around in the 60s and 70s! Amazing buck.
The earlier/later the better up there. If it's still warm the bucks will be high and keep grouped up towards the earlier months. You should really wait until November when they're rutting and are being pursued by thirty-five other guys! In October there's a ton of possibilities where they will be transitioning. I think it's a toss up if your stuck with those two weeks.
There are still great deer and elk up there though (anyone with a spotting scope in SLC can tell you that!) Good luck.
