LAST EDITED ON Aug-30-07 AT 01:40PM (MST)[p] This isn't the buck I had on my trail cam. This buck was in the desert on public ground. I found him the day before I took him.
Nice, so what ever happened to the "found him buck"? This one you arrowed is a stud him self how far out did you spot him and stalk in. DO you have any more pics I would love to see them!!!!!!! "But remeber this was the last big buck in Oregon"
Congrates
Thanks IdahoBugler.
The buck I had on my trail cam went onto some private property. The land owner wont let anyone hunt his land.
I found this guy the day before I got him. I spotted him about 1.5 miles away bedded under a lone juniper tree. Around noon he got up and bedded under some tall sagebrush on a flat area. I always stalk barefoot. After burning my feet in the 95 degree heat for 30 minutes , I got within 15 yds. This is normally way too close for me but the brush was thick! I had to howl like a coyote to get him out of his bed. After he got up I put an arrow in his chest. The season was almost too short! I guess its time to chase elk......
P.S. I messed up a stalk on a bigger buck in the same area two days before!
